Friends of the Landesblasorchester

Thanks to its collaboration with internationally renowned conductors, composers and soloists, its creative, ambitious and pioneering programming and, last but not least, its countless concerts in Germany and abroad, Baden-Württemberg has a cultural ambassador of exceptional quality. As an ambassador of symphonic wind music, the LBO commissions compositions, publishes new works through premieres or first performances and produces recordings that serve as a sound reference.

The LBO fulfills its mission of basic and educational work with musicians and conductors through various teaching formats. The individual LBO members act as multipliers by passing on their experiences and motivation in the LBO to their home clubs and organizations.

Particularly remarkable and exemplary for the LBO’s orchestral operations is the combination of professional thinking and action in voluntary structures.

Former and active musicians of the LBO, concert and workshop visitors as well as other friends and patrons of the LBO have joined forces to form the non-profit association “Friends of the Landesblasorchester Baden-Württemberg”, which was founded on October 25, 2018, and would like to promote the important cultural work of the LBO, the further development of the cultural asset of symphonic wind music, and support it with non-material and material assistance.
